gabion are wire mesh containers made of galvanized iron wire, or pvc coated wire , galfan wire or stainless steel wire,  there are two types,  one is woven with hexaognal hole , another is welding technic with square hole. 



 for galvanized hexagonal woven gabion wire mesh , wire thickness is generally 2.2mm, 2.4mm, 2.7mm ,3.0mm,  

for pvc coated hexagonal woven gabion mesh, wire thickness is 3.4mm, 3.7mm 
mesh opening size; 80mm*100mm, 60mm*80mm, 100mm*120mm,
